Unit 12 is comprised of having the students learn to simplify, add, subtract, multiply and divide rational expressions. Students will apply previous skills learned by applying order or operations, factoring quadratics, cancelling factors and finding common denominators. This section is an introduction to some of the key concepts covered in Algebra 2.

Each lesson is comprised of a video lesson with downloadable lesson worksheets with and without solutions and a series of graded practice exams which provide step by step solutions to every problem on the exam.

Section 1 - Graph Quadratic Equations

Students will learn to identify when an expression is undefined and to simplify simple rational expressions by cancelling Greatest Common factors in the numerator and the denominator.

Section 2 - Radical Variable Expressions

Students will learn to solve rational equations by simplifying, factoring, finding common denominators and/or cross-multiplying.

Section 3 - Combine Radical Expressions

Students will learn to add and subtract rational expressions and then to simplify the resulting expression if additional factoring is required.

Section 4 - Solve Radical Equations

Students will learn to add and subtract rational expressions and then to simplify the resulting expression if additional factoring is required.
