Unit 2 is comprised of the techniques needed to solve single variable algebraic equations including multistep and equations with variables on both sides.
Solving equations with variables is one of the core skills that must be acquired. Competence in these areas is an absolute necessity to passing Algebra 1.
Each lesson is comprised of a video lesson with downloadable lesson worksheets with and without solutions and a series of graded practice exams which
provide step by step solutions to every problem on the exam.
Students will continue to strengthen and refine their equation solving skills and learn how to deal with equations where the variable is on both sides.
Rate, Time and Distance problems apply the techniques learned in the above sections and challenges the student to construct and solve multiple equations
from real world scenarios. This is the students first exposure to the Systems of Equations which will be covered in Unit 7 in detail and it also challenges
and strengthens their mathematical problem solving skills.
