Unit 6 is where you will learn to graph Linear Equations and Functions. The graph of a Linear Equation demonstrates how the solution to an equation can be visually represented. Specifically you will learn about rates of change and how this relates visually to the slope of the line on a graph. You will also learn the 2 basic forms of Linear Equations (Slope-Intercept and Standard Form) and how to graph and solve each type.

Each lesson is comprised of a video lesson with downloadable lesson worksheets with and without solutions and a series of graded practice exams which provide step by step solutions to every problem on the exam.

Section 1 - Graph on the Coordinate Plane (x,y)

You will review locating, graphing and identifying points in the coordinate plane. You will also learn to make a table of values for a Linear Equation and then connect the points to form the graph of the equation.

Section 2 - Line Slope and Slope Intercept Form y = mx + b

You will learn to calculate the slope of a line from ordered pairs and you will learn the Slope Intercept form of a Linear Equation.

Section 3 - Pt. Slope & Standard Form Ax + By = C

You will learn to graph Linear Equations in both Slope Intercept and in Standard form. You will also explore the concept of parallel lines and how it relates to the slope of a line.
