Unit 7 is comprised of learning how to find the solution to a 2 equation 2 variable system of equations. By the end of the unit the students will learn to turn real life scenarios into a system of equations and then to determine the solution if one exists.

Each lesson is comprised of a video lesson with downloadable lesson worksheets with and without solutions and a series of graded practice exams which provide step by step solutions to every problem on the exam.

Section 1 - Solve Systems by Graphing (x1,y1)(x2,y2)

Students will be learning how to solve a system of 2 variable equations by graphing their lines on the coordinate plane and determining the point of intersection.

Section 2 - Solve Systems by Substitution 2(1-2y)-3y=-12

Students will learn how to solve a system of 2 variable equations by solving one equation in terms of one variable and then substituting that expression into the other variable equation.

Section 3 - Solve Systems by Elimination 2x-3y=-4; 3x-2y=-1

Students will learn how to solve a system of 2 variable equations by matching the coefficient of one variable in each equation and then adding and subtracting to eliminate that variable and then solving for the remaining variable.

Section 4 - Solve Word Problem Systems a+b=20;2a+3b=55

Students will learn to turn complex real world word problems into systems of equations and to solve the problem posed.
